Hands-on engineering with TeacherGeek was so successful in Miami-Dade that after the first summer, time devoted to STEM/STEAM was doubled, the number of activity packs ordered grew 50%, and teachers of students with special needs pushed to get TeacherGeek in their classrooms, too.

How may Local Educational Agencies use ESSER funds?

According to the US Department of Education FAQ:

• Providing principals and other school leaders with the resources necessary to address the needs of their individual schools. (p. 11)
• Planning and implementing activities related to summer learning and enrichment and supplemental after-school programs, including providing classroom instruction or online learning during the summer months and addressing the needs of low-income students, students with disabilities, English learners, migrant students, students experiencing homelessness, and children and youth in foster care.
